About the Opportunity

We are now looking for a full-time Project Manager based out of our client's mine sites in Ironbark or Carborough Downs, QLD.

The Project Manager will play a crucial role onsite, reporting directly to the Underground Operations Manager, responsible for managing day-to-day operations and various team activities.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Planning daily activities and integrating tasks into the 24-hour and weekly schedules
• Managing stock to ensure constant availability of necessary supplies
• Conducting weekly invoicing and reviewing timesheets
• Scoping work for accurate quoting and processing purchase orders
• Liaising with site stakeholders to maintain project alignment
• Overseeing underground crews to secure optimal manning levels
• Monitoring team and individual performances
• Providing routine progress reports to Blackrock/BMS Management

About You

To qualify for this role, you must hold a current S123 G2 and Standard 11 (Surface and Underground) certification (or be willing to obtain them). Essential to this role is a minimum of 4 years experience in the Underground Coal Mining Industry with a focus on ventilation, secondary support and consolidation. Additionally, a valid “C” Class Australian driver’s licence is required. 

We highly value the following skills and background:

• Demonstrated similar experience as a project manager and leading teams
• Current Underground Coal Board Medical (CBM)
• RIIMCU302D - Construct and maintain ventilation devices
• Training in chemical application (e.g. PUR, Geoflex and Carbofill)
• Signed copies of training transcripts and/or authorisations
